Duane Lind was born in 1954 in Rittman, Ohio. He graduated summa cum laude from Rittman High School, cum laude with majors in History and Political Science from the University of New Mexico in 1978 and from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1981. He began practice with the law firm of Levy, White, Ferguson and Grady, a general practice firm, in 1981. In 1983, Will Ferguson and he left the firm to start Ferguson & Lind, PC, a law firm devoted solely to representing injured persons. In 1992, Mr. Lind left to open the Law Offices of Duane Lind, LLC. He continues to represent only clients that have been injured by the carelessness or intentional acts of other individuals, businesses or insurance companies.
